Resources I Use

There are a large number of resources I reference for this website and my travels.  I generally surround myself with piles of notebooks, scads of loose papers, books, magazines and various electronic gadgets. By surround myself, I mean that in the literal way.

MittenBrew considers brewing beer an art form. It is a craft after all. When we think of beer, we think of sophistication. Like any craft, there is an artist, and we have the greatest respect for those in the brewing industry — we’re here to tell their stories. So grab your mug, growler, pint glass…and let’s talk about Michigan beer.

The primary mission of Michigan Beer Guide is to record and promote the Michigan beer industry with current and accurate editorial of interest to industry professionals, consumers, and hobbyists. Michigan Beer Guide began as a directory of all the established breweries in the state of Michigan but has grown to include editorial about all aspects of the beer culture. In addition to the directory, readers will find articles about the latest brewery openings, beer related education, and features of interest to homebrewers, breweriana collectors, and beer tourists.

Podcasts:

I believe people are the most interesting and valuable part of the entire craft renaissance. New Holland’s “Stop and Taste Conversations” podcast, is our way of shedding some light on these colorful characters. We’ll shoot the bull over a couple of drinks and share some stories with the folks we’re lucky enough to know & call friends. Cheers. -Fred

Dubbed “the bottle share of the air” CincyBrewcast is a podcast focusing exclusively on all things Cincinnati craft beer.  Put your ear where your beer is!
